Hello again,

It's been a while,.... Sorry, blogging is not part of my normal routine {yet!}

Here are a few pictures of what I've been up to lately.

Isn't she lovely!

This is my rendition of Marie Antoinette.

I pinned fabric onto an old dress form. Her banner says "Let them eat cake!" and we did just that, She was made as a display for my spring open house April 4th. I served cake and punch for the refreshment of course.

Bellow is my Silhouette version of Marie, just under her sits a french day bed with pillows and books about her fashion and tragic tale of her life. Can you tell I am fascinated by her story?

These little lovelies are favor cones, the perfect package for a petite gift.

Very Marie-ish don't you think? What girl wouldn't love to receive a gift tucked down in one of these?

I am having difficulty getting the layout right for this post. So, until next time....

As promised, I am finally posting some pictures of the new spring displays in the

shop.

What do you think?

This is the front entry...

Layers of old gold and wood tone framed mirrors help to fill the visual space on the 11ft. chocolate brown wall, also, my rendition of a garden party. Vintage umbrellas rest atop the garden arch and their perfectly curved handles allow for hanging the mercury glass votive lanterns.

Lunch anyone? This set of vintage dishes with a petite rose pattern and black accents instantly makes any lunch gourmet. Lavender by the scoop and our fabulous moss ribbon, a big hit for spring decor!

More to come.........

Spring!!!!

Well, not quite, but the sun is shining and the temperature ..... much warmer. The last few days have been unseasonably cold and I'm so happy to feel the sun I think I could burst out in song! "The hills are alive, with the sound of music..."

Don't you feel a smile creep across your lips when you see this adorable little spring chick. He evokes happy thoughts of budding tulips and jonquils, of chirping birds and fresh green grass.

Spring, Glorious Spring!!
Ahh, it is a blustery February day here in my neck of the woods. The Valentines have been exchanged and all the chocolate eaten, so much for working out....

So much to do I find myself starting little projects in every corner of the store, and while I haven't uploaded the new spring display photos, I thought you might enjoy some old photos of the store. These were actually taken in 2007. My how the time has flown! The store was much more sparse then. As I'm sure you all well know, the longer you are in a space, the more "stuff" you seem the accumulate.

COMING SOON!----- Pictures of new Spring displays. And, I must tell all about my trip
to PARIS . It was Fabulous!!!!!!

In the late summer of 2008, I was asked to design a room for the Belarmine Show House.

How flattering!! The show consists of one home, selected for its historic qualities, and about 30 to 40 designers each with one room to create. I was given a petite bathroom with tall ceilings and marble tiled floors. You are basically given a blank canvas. You submit a design board, and upon approval, you take the four wall you are given and create the space you have envisioned. These are a few pictures of the finished product. It turned out so sweet! There was a claw foot tub {not pictured}but, I can just imagine soaking away the cares of the day in this lovely, feminine space.
